When you play cards you are actually burning calories. So if the calories burnt from playing cards plus all of the other burnt calories from other activities are greater than the calories consumed that day you will lose weight.

That is basically how to lose weight. Find enough daily activities that will collectively burn more calories than the number consumed.

These activities can be anything from watching football, playing golf, gardening, knitting, cooking (not tasting the food though), working out at the gym, walking, swimming, surfing, curling, bowling, running, climbing, playing with your kids or grand children. More calories burnt can lead to more weight loss.

The best way to lose weight is to make a decision to do it! Then ensure that you burn more calories each day than you consume. To burn more calories you can eat less and exercise more together or just eat less with the same exercise habits, or exercise more and eat the same.
